This book is a playful meditation on companionship, distortion, and the blurry line between the everyday and the absurd. Each photo captures a fleeting image of my cats, Pepper and Nacho, as seen through the bottom of a cocktail glass. The refractions and distortions turn our quiet moments together into something dreamlike — faces stretch and swirl, fur becomes flame, and familiar feline poses dissolve into strange, liquid shapes.
These pictures are part optical illusion, part love letter to the small rituals of home. In them, I see humor, affection, and the soft, surreal texture of time spent with two curious housemates. Through the bottom of a glass, I invite you to see my cats — and maybe your own world — with a loosened gaze and a bit more wonder.
