A Perfect Day I just recently came across this picture again. It’s the Richmond skyline as seen from the Belle Isle footbridge. If you Google “Belle Isle Richmond” you’ll find many variations of this shot; this is my version. It was taken in January, 2002 and, even though it was the middle of winter, this particular day was weirdly springtime warm. Our kids were still young but they were old enough to genuinely be fun to hang around with. Ten and a half years later, I remember that it was as close to a perfect day as there has ever been.
